Offbeat Places in Goa….
Most of the visitors coming to Goa are mainly attracted to the sandy golden beaches and get a nice tan by sea. But Goa has much more to offer. So here are a few places one should visit in Goa.

Tambadi Surla Mahadev Temple
Located on the banks of river Surla it is one of the ancient temples in Goa. It is surrounded by lush forest and a perfect place to enjoy short nature treks. The temple showcases Jain style architecture. Situated 65km from the capital city Panjim.
Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary
Being one of the smallest wildlife sanctuaries, it is an ideal location to explore the flora and fauna of Goa. It is a fun place for the day and overnights stays. There are various activities that you can do here visit the zoo, botanical garden, deer safari park and nature interpretation center. If you have kids this is a good place to spend your day at.
The 1017ft vertical waterfall is breathtaking. The name literally translates into a sea of milk. It can be a great trek to reach this site. There are vehicles such as jeeps to take you to the site. Goa Tourism organizes various tours. The best season to visit this place is in the early monsoon.
Situated on Chorao island it is one of the best places to go for bird watching. It has been named after the famous India ornithologist Dr. Salim Moizzudin Ali and is a protected site in Goa. One can spot rare migratory birds on the beautiful mangroves marshes.
Also known as Cape Rama located in south Goa. The story states that when Lord Ram was exiled from his home (Ayodhya) he had made a stop on this land. This land is marked by a fort which was ruled by a Hindu king and later acquired by the Portuguese. The road leading to this place is beautiful. So if you thinking of going on a long road trip this is the place. But if you are planning to stay in south Goa this is perfect for a small day trip.
Located in south Goa it is a wonderful site for camping. It is surrounded by dense forest and animal sittings points. There are cottages for overnight stays as well if you book them in advance.
